BACKGROUND:
Our company allows the communications industry to deliver on their pledge of talking & surfing from anywhere by offering Mobile Intelligence to our customers - market research companies, mobile network operators & device manufacturers. We embolden these customers with an innovative source of information, directly from the mobile device, that denotes an objective, impartial view of how handsets & devices are operating on the network & how devices are being utilized daily. This information is used to enhance the quality of devices & the network, providing obvious benefits to end-users while offering substantial cost savings to our customers.
Based in Mountain View, with offices in Kuala Lumpur, Boston, Chicago & London, our customer base is expanding internationally as handset manufacturers & operators utilize our technology & we have been hiring aggressively to meet market & customer demand.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a superb Vice President & GM to head our Mobile Devices organization. The candidate in this vital position will guide the company''s business, mobile development & integration teams in continuing to implement our novel mobile agent technology throughout various mobile platforms & markets. Candidate will report directly to the CEO & will manage the company''s Mobile Device team internationally. Candidate will supervise performance within a fast-paced, challenging environment where the customer roster includes some of the biggest names in the mobile industry.
We are seeking a vibrant, innovative, P&L results-driven executive with a get-it-done attitude, combined with proficiency & business development contacts. The candidate will lead novel development as well as scale a successful integration & support model throughout our expanding list of customers & partners internationally. The ideal candidate will be at ease with both management & technical leadership roles & will know when to apply abilities in each area to reach a positive outcome.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Function throughout the organization to define & deliver a novel mobile software product, technology strategy & roadmap.
- Increase, supervise, & mentor a team of elite mobile device engineers to deliver both embedded & mobile application-level products.
- Create a highly efficient & accessible software integration model that cost-effectively widens our device footprint & ecosystem reach.

Operate with analytics product teams to provide integrated end-to-end consumer & business solutions.

Function with the CEO to institute goals & milestones for your team.

Interact & cooperate with customers & partners including tier 1 operators & device & chipset companies.

As a sr member of the executive team, partake in strategic planning activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Minimum of ten years of professional software development familiarity with 3+ years in an executive role.

Proven experience with contemporary mobile software development disciplines & processes, across various platforms, & at multiple layers in the stack.

Proficiency with mobile device lifecycle from product launch to return logistics.

Familiarity with incorporating applications with handset manufactures pre-launch.

Proven proficiency in expanding the top line while managing the bottom line.

Demonstrated history of successful product delivery.

Understanding & relationships in the mobile marketplace.

Must possess skill managing, negotiating & drafting complex contractual agreements.

At least a BS in a software engineering discipline.

Solid written & oral communication skills.

Familiarity at the chipset level is desired.
SOFT SKILL QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess a solid & sensible business judgment as well as common sense.

Must be a strong team player who can competently work with business client, other executives, external constituents & the sales team cooperatively & proficiently.

Must possess elite ethics & professional integrity.

Must possess superb oral & written communication skills, as well as proven experience in working closely & advising senior executives of an organization.

Must be open to travel & work extended hours when necessary.
